January 28, 2012 - The 4th Annual Carbondale Ice Bowl this year was without the ice, snow, and really any other hint of winter, however the wind did make it at least feel like it was close to winter.

18 players from around the area and even 2 were actually from as far away as Colorado came out on the notorious Polar Bear day here in Carbondale to help raise money for The Nights Shield childrens shelter out of West Frankfurt. Through the money collected from entry fees, side contests, donations, and a generous silent auction our Ice Bowl raised $581 and about 20 pounds of food and wish list items that the charity requested.
