Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the 2007 Bag Tag Challenge will be starting very shortly!
What is a Bag Tag Challenge you ask? Well it is simply a way for every RSO member to compete against each other at anytime. We will track the progress of the Bag Tags throughout the sememster and at the end hold a tournament for final placement.
Full details and rules will be posted soon, as will the handing out of
the actual tags(this Thursday!). Once everyone has their tags then the

The Frolfing Illini and Gateway Disc Golf has teamed up to host a tournament November 3rd, 2007 in Centralia, IL. The tournament will be held at Foundation Park which is a par 72, 18 hole disc course that is one of the most challenging and
picturesque disc golf courses in the world, requiring a mix of both
accuracy and distance.
The tournament will be limited to current students and alumni and will have various divisions. The cost of the event is $20 ($15 for pre-registration) including a combination of t-shirts, custom disc, prizes, trophies, and more.
This sounds like a great chance to get out to Foundation Park to give it a shot. I would like ot get as many of as possible to go, but this is something we can talk about at one of our meetings or in the forum.

The fourth and last review in my series on North East Florida DGC's is a homemade 9-holer maintained by the Good News Baptist Church youth group on the the church grounds. While it is less than divine, they earn kudos for embodying the do-it-yourself attitude on which disc golf was built. Oh, and they could use a little pest control...

Discraft has finally released the type of disc that will be given out for everyone that participates in one of the Ace Race events. Here is what Discrafts website had to say about the new disc...
The disc is a long range driver: the same class as the stalwart Storm
and Stratus. Extensive testing by our experts has generated a 100
percent thumbs up.
"I think this disc will easily make it past the proto stage," said one
tester. "It's very responsive, has nice glide, and I like the feel of
the crosshatching on the rim." The crosshatching is a subtle texturing
on the underside of the rim.
