Thankfully for us and the rest there, we played from the red
tees and the shorter pin locations, otherwise we would have been much more
tired then we were after finishing. Teams consisted of me and Gavin, Andy and
Tony and both teams played with different teams from other colleges. Me and
Gavin were teamed up with a team from University
of Wisconsin-Madison ,
WI and believe Tony and Andy played with a
team from University
of Kentucky .
The course was like I remember it from the other weekend
when I played here, long and technical. I won’t go into a hole for hole review
because I will be writing up a review shortly and that will cover all the
descriptions of this amazing course. What I will say though is that me and Gavin
both felt good about our -9 on a par 70 course for hardly playing before. As we
got back to the scorers table we soon found out that competition is tough at
this tournament and a -15 would end up taking the doubles. I believe the -9 was
good for 4th or 5th in the singles but don’t recall
completely. I’m also not sure of the score of our other team but I do believe they
finished around par for the day.
